ABAQUS (6.8, 6.9 EF) - Effect of the number of back stresses

Since ABAQUS 6.8, a new feature has been added to the combined hardening
material input.

Let's assume a combined Kinematic and Isotropic hardening case, such as
those happen in metals.

"Half cycle" uni-axial test results has been utilized to model the yield
stress-plastic strain behavior as well as the Kinematic behavior of the
metals.

In the same user interface,  there is an option to choose the number of
back stresses.

Is the number of 1 back stress is equivalen to the case of linear
kinematic hardening (Ziegler's)?

Emden-Fowler Differential Equation

I input into MAPLE the following differential eq & it returned that it is classified as an Emden-Fowler Differential Equation:

r^2*F"+1/r*F'-k^2*F=0   where F is a function of r

MAPLE was able to generate a solution.  I am attempting to figure out how this eq is actually solved & I typed in Emden-Fowler into the SEARCH window on this website & got ZERO results.

Physical significance of higher order spatial derivatives of displacement (longitudnal loading)

Hi,

I have encountered fourth order space derivative in the PDE derived for
smart material.I am looking for the physical significance of higher
order spatial derivative of displacment in longitudnal loading. In the
Euler-Bernoulli beam theory (lateral loading), the fourth order space
derivative referes to the load. 

In longitudinal loading, the first order space derivative is strain i.e 
du/dx .What are the significane of higher order space derivatives d^2
u/dx^2 , d^3 u/dx^3 , d^4 u/dx^4?

First-order reliability method (FORM) for Matlab?

I am wondering if there is a source code for first-order reliability method (FORM) or second-order (SORM) available out there, ideally for Matlab but others would be interesting as well.

If not, has anyone programmed this themself?  What literature source did you base it upon?

I calculate natural frequency composite plate (Uniformly Loaded Simply Supported Plate) I use analysis CPT (The classical lamination theory) and FSDT (The first order shear deformation theory). The result is similar to ANSYS. However, when I use FEM (Quadrilateral element Q4) by FSDT, the result is very difference with ANSYS. Can someone help me?Can someone share me similar FEM matlab code? A question is put where microstructres that are found in for example tool steels can be used to analyze local stifness's and local stresses during heat treatment and mechanical loads.

The task is to evaluate and suggest a method of analyzing the effect of microstructure.`

Hello ,I am trying to model the extrusion of hollow circular tube of aluminium 6063 at 450 through a hollow die in ABAQUS.The model aborts due to excessive distrotion.I have specified ALE adaptive meshing parameters. Has anyone explain how to choose the number of sweeps and the frequency parameters.
