Hello all,
I want to use Cast iron plasticity in Abaqus/Explicit, but the cast iron plasticity in abaqus can only be used in Abaqus/Standard, so a vumat should be written to do it. But in the document, the formulation of flow potential in tension region is not given explicitly, i stopped here.
Can anyone help me with this?

My system got shutdown while running a job in Abaqus.15 Gb odb file was generated and now I am not able to open the odb file.It is saying some error about the format.Have anyone came across such a problem.

I am a student currently working on my Master's thesis. I am supposed to model a reinforced concrete wall-slab connection undergoing seismic loading. I read an article where this was done with ANSYS. However, my experience with ANSYS is non-existent so I was wondering are there any tutorials on how to model the reinforcement or do a time-history analysis (preferably both)? I'm supposed to test connection configurations and then conclude whether or not they're suitable for seismic detailing. ANY help would be deeply appreciated!

I am not interested in indepth particular data show and tell type. I am more onto scientifical philosophy.
