Solved examples for calibrating non-linear combined(isotropic-kinematic) hardening model parameters for metals under low cycle fatigue loading

Submitted by PVR Narendra Babu on

Hello everyone,

In past couple of years, I was able to successfully replicate the behaviour of steel structural members under cyclic loading by using the combined hardening material model parameters which were actually obtained from various published science journal articles using Abaqus V6.9-EF.  In many papers the cyclic-stress strain curves at various strain amplitudes are given. Although, in some of the articles the procedure used to calibrate those combined hardening material model parameters is described which is almost same as the procedure given in Abaqus manuals, none have provided atleast an example illustrating the calibrations of those parameters clearly.

Can someone help me by providing a clear solved example illustrating the calibration procedure for the parameters like

yield stress at zero equivalent platic strain,

cyclic Isotropic hardening constant,

cyclic Isotropic hardening rate,

Kinematic hardening constant and

Kinematic hardening rate

for any metal under cyclic loading ?

(or) If it is already published in some of the articles, please provide me the article and the link for the above mentioned?

regards,

Narendra
