A quick question: how to report a unique nodal RF(Reaction Force)/U(Displacement) in a different coordiante system in ABAQUS? It seems it always output in the default coordinate system that ABAQUS is set based on.
Also, in order to read strains/stresses in a differenet coordinate system, should I assign material orientation under part, or if I just do the transformation as you suggested under the results would give me the strains/stresses in the desirable coordinate system?

Strain/Stress in a different coordinate system
Thanks for the response.

Thanks again

Assigning material
Assigning material orientation is only needed for anisotropic materials, if that's your case.
In all cases however, previously defined coordinate system will appear in that user specified tab.

Element Normal
Thank for clarification.
Do you think assigning element normal will change the response or not? I am not yet sure what's the purpose of assigning element normal. Thanks again
