The question is how can the stress at a point other than integration points be evaluated in VUMAT/UMAT. Interpolation may be a general method. However, to me, it seems not so easy to be implemented, for I have no idea of the way to retrieve the necessary information of all integration points (their indexes, positions etc.) belongint to a identical FE. Any help would be appreciated.

see Analysis User's Guide, chapter "Elements" for the relative position of all integration points. You can extract for all IP from the odb.
Also, you can request output at the nodes. See keyword manual, command "Element output", parameter "position"

Thanks for your kind advice. It seems the methods you present are for post-process, so I am afraid my problem has not been stated clearly. I wish to have these operations done in VUMAT/UMAT, i.e. during the computation process. If the proper interfaces are found to retrieve the positions of all IP and with the shape function, interpolation can be easily done. However, I have no idea of accessing these interfaces. I wonder if Utility Routines can do this, yet I am not familiar with Utility Routines. Would you like to comment on it or give some other methods? Thank you very much.
