Course Objective

Abaqus/CFD provides advanced computational fluid dynamics capabilities with extensive support for preprocessing and postprocessing provided in Abaqus/CAE. In this course, you will learn how to analyze CFD problems in Abaqus, as well as nonlinear coupled fluid-thermal and fluid-structural problems.

The topics include:

  • Incompressible laminar and turbulent flow
  • Coupled analysis
  • Conjugate heat transfer analysis
  • Buoyancy-driven flow
  • Fluid-structure interaction
  • Deforming mesh ALE

I have not been able to contact SALAM110. His BLOG is also responding as Page Not Found. I am a new learner of ABAQUS/CFD.  Though I know CFD and Finite Elements well, I learn it using FOrtran programming.

Now, I would like to learn ABAQUS CFD.  But there is no TUTORIAL manual available even with the ABAQUS CFD software! There are manuals and tutorials on ABAQUS/CAE andothers but not on CFD.

 Therefore, I request that somehow I shall be able to ask Questions to SALSM110 who has posted some very nice materials on ABAQUS CFD.  However, these introduction to ABAQUS CFD is in short PPT style. I would be thankful if the Blogger can send me some elaborate materials on CFD Tutorial so that at least I can make some head start.

Check out the 'Getting started with Abaqus: Interactive Edition' manual - In Appendix E there is a tutorial outlining how to set up a basic CFD model in ABAQUS.

Hoewver, I cross checked both the documentions (one which is bundled with the software and others on the internet both versions 6.10 and 6.11), but there is NO Appendix E there !!

The Appendices are only 4 - A,B,C and D.

 

Could you point very specifically where I can find it in the manual?

I could access the Appendix E on 6.12 version through the Link you had sent.

This did really help me a lot and I am very thankful to you.

If you come across any other tutorial(s) on ABAQUS/CFD, please let me know.
