ANSYS - Nonlinear analysis -Deflections and the loads

Hi All,

I would like to apply the below:

1) Apply a prescribed displacements to a cantilver beam 

2) Save the deformed configuration

3) Apply the loads on the deformed configuration

4) calculate the final deflections 

How to do it in ANSYS or the best way to do it

Hello Senthil,

You can consult Ansys Examples which are available in the directory ..\data\verif\

They are helpful. D command is convenient for a constraint.

In Nonlinear Analysis appropriate commands are :

 ANTYPE : to define your analysis 

 F  : to define your load

 *DIM : to define your array parameter if you have a variable load

 *SET
