FRICTION STIR WELDING -SIMULATION-ABAQUS

Submitted by darko144 on
Could you tell me how to define inflow and outflow eulerian boundary in ALE? MY ERROR IS "An Eulerian boundary region cannot overlap a sliding boundary region"

Defined in the first interface surface, and then modify the inp file, change to add

REGION TYPE = EULERIAN

*SURFACE, NAME=SURF1, REGION TYPE=SLIDING

TOP,S4

*SURFACE, NAME=EULER1, REGION TYPE=EULERIAN

EULER1,S3

Then, I go on the File/Import/Model...inp.file  - when he fined warning

I m see Abaqus Example Problems Manual

ale_flatrolling_inletoutlet.inp

I go on the File/Import/Model...ale_flatrolling_inletoutlet.inp - and I see next WARNING, too.

I DON`T NOW, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. Could you tell me how to define EULERIAN SURFACE, AND EULERIAN BONDARY CONDITION.

Thank you so much!

dear krishna

i have the same problem

i want to simulate 2D orthogonal machining using ALE adaptive mesh and mesh constrains with abaqus. but outflow and inflow of mesh must be eulerian. i dont know how to change lagrangian(default)  to eulerian. plz help me.

hi,

this might be a little bit old post, anyway ill post it since i also need some help,

regarding your problem ahead, it is because ABAQUS cae still not supporting keyword for REGION TYPE, and a lot more.

remeber when you set your surface region type to eulerian, you have constraint it mesh otherwise it wont work.

incase you have sucessfully simulate it can you share it with me? i currently have problem in constraining the mesh(in the hole region) what i want is

the material flow but the mesh by the pin (hole) not move. but it always said that mesh contraint angle exceed the critical.. something like that.

here is my email if you could help me
