Importing strain values in XFEM
Hi,
Does anyone know how to import the strain values from simulation run in one model, into an XFEM model? I am trying to model creep seprately in one model, and wanted to import the strain values of each step in that model (10 steps, representing 100 yars), into an XFEM model to find out when the crack initiates and propagates in duration of 100 years.
Thank you very much,
Sam
Composite crushing + CZONE application
Hello,
I am modelling a crushing simulation of a composite corrugated coupon using Abaqus/Explicit and CZONE Abaqus' application.
I am modeling the coupon using S4R elements and the impactor as a discrete rigid shell plate with a slow constant crushing speed or high initial velocity for quasi-static and dynamic crushing simulations respectively.
I am using Hashin damage in Abaqus/Explicit and Hashin and also Tsai-Wu on CZONE application.

Source for Mooney-Rivlin coeffcients for silicon rubber
Hi everyone,
I am trying to simulate the behavior of a silicon rubber membrane which is being compressed due to the displacement od an additional part which is bonded to it. I want to model the membrane as a Mooney-Rivlin hyperelastic model. Can therefore anyone provide me with a source giving C10 and CO1 coefficients for silicon rubber?
Any help will be appreciated,
Mina
Isotropic hardening law
Hi all,
I have come across the two relations where aim to describe the isotropic hardening of a material
Power law:
R = Kεpn R is the variation in stress from initial yield, εp is the plastic strain where K is the strenght coefficient and n is the strain hardening exponent as observed in Ramberg Osgood equations.
Exponential law:
R = R∞ [1-e(-bεp)] where R∞ is the saturated value of the R variation, b is the rate at which the sauration is reached.
