Damage plasticity model for concrete failure CDPM2

Submitted by grassl on

Those involved in the modelling of the failure of plain/reinforced concrete using damage and plasticity might be interested in our webpage

http://petergrassl.com/Research/DamagePlasticity/CDPMLSDYNA/index.html

which we have created to support our concrete damage plasticity model CDPM(2) in LS-DYNA. You can find there a number of example input files, reports and our implementation of the model in the form of a user subroutine.

Postdoctoral positions on Predictive Simulations at Purdue University

Submitted by marisolkoslowski on

Purdue University is seeking applications from outstanding candidates to fill several Postdoctoral Scholar positions to work on atomistic and continuum simulations of physical and chemical processes at extreme conditions of pressure and temperature. The successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary team including modelers and experimentalists working at Purdue, Los Alamos National Laboratory and Stanford University.

SPH contact with Eulerian Elements

Submitted by vvk on

I am attempting to model high-pressure gas flow through the granular medium using Abaqus Explicit. I have used SPH modelling for granular particles and the gaseous medium using Eulerian elements.

A node-based surface is created for the SPH particles. I am having trouble establishing contact between the eulerian elements surface and the surface of SPH particles.

Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks.
