Ph.D Position Announcement
At the Division of Mechanics of Functional Materials in the institute of Materials Science, TU Darmstadt a Ph.D position is to be filled as soon as possible. The position is scheduled for three years.
Tasks and Opportunities
The objective is Finite Element Simulation on viscoelastic and electromechanical behavior of porous ferroelectrets. In particular, different mechanisms which play influential roles in aging and fatigue of the ferroelectrets will be revealed.

Several Master of Science (MS) positions in Mechanical Engineering are available for Summer/Spring 2017. Full RA available for 1 student. Looking for postdoctoral position. My current postdoc contract at National University of Singapore will be terminated in the end of August, 2016. I have quite good experience in the following areas during my PhD and current postdoc career.

Surfaces with patterned wettability contrast are important in industrial applications such as heat transfer, water collection, and particle separation. Traditional methods of fabricating such surfaces rely on microfabrication technologies, which are only applicable to certain substrates and are difficult to scale up and implement on curved surfaces.
