The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) invites applications for several tenure-track faculty positions to begin July 2018 or thereafter. Appointments will be at the assistant or untenured associate professor level. In special cases, a senior faculty appointment may be possible.

Postdoctoral Positions:

Our group has one postdoctoral position opening supported by Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)-Digital Manufacturing and Design (DManD) Centre for a projects of 3D printing with active materials.

We are seeking self-motivated postdoctoral researchers with a strong background on solid mechanics, FEA simulation and material characterization.

The successful candidate is required to have:

One postdoctoral and/or one MSc/PhD position are available in the Bioresource Engineering Department of McGill University for January 2018. The postdoctoral researcher and MSc student will work on a multidisciplinary research project involving Metamodeling, Optimization, Statistical analysis, and Numerical multiscale simulation to develop a predicative mathematical-computational model to analyze statistical biological data and to simulate transport phenomena in porous biological media. The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Hamid Akbarzadeh at McGill University.

Call for Abstracts:

We are organizing a mini symposium (MS-612) entitled "Computational Materials Science and Mechanics of Energy Materials" as a part of the 13th World Congress on Computational Mechanics to be held in New York City during July 22, 2018 - July 27, 2018.

Recent theoretical works have shown that the electro-mechanical performance of dielectric elastomers can be enhanced through micro-structural design.
