I'm trying to investigate the effect of multiple support excitation (spatially varying ground motion) on seismic response of an arch dam using ADINA, so i need to apply different acceleration (and velocity and displacement) time histories on every node on structure-foundation interface.

I've to model a gearbox in the transitory (acceleration) and in the
stationary (constant speed) running: i'm not sure abut the kind of step
to use.
I'm gonna find contact pressure and stress in both case.
What about using static step for both?

Dear all Researchers,
I am writing regarding for the first time about the UAA(Unified analytical aspect) on Fatigue crack growth. The idea of this technique is this question : too many fatigue life prediction relations but still those are not perfect. on the other hand, new math ways still have not been the classical fracture mechanics. I am looking for some comments as response to this concern. Clearly, how we upgrade fracture mechanics theory using atomistic development in modeling fatigue propagation?

I am using a VUMAT with isotropic hardening in my three dimensional model. Can someone tell me how is plasticity data passed into this subroutine? In VUMAT for kinematic hardening we define the yield stress and hardening modulus along with E and poisson's ratio in *User Material. I did not find any isotropic hardening VUMAT examples in manual. Do we define the hardening modulus or the yield stress-plastic strain data in isotropic hardening VUMAT? I will be really thankful if anyone can help me.
