Saint-Venant's Principe of the Problem of the Cylinder: Modified

Submitted by Jian-zhong Zhao on

The Statement of Modi ed Saint-Venant's Principle is suggested. The

axisymmetrical deformation of the infi nite circular cylinder loaded by an

equilibrium system of forces on its near end is discussed and its formulation of Modi ed Saint-Venant's Principle is established. It is evident that

fi nding solutions of boundary-value problems is a precise and pertinent

approach to establish Saint-Venant type decay of elastic problems.               T

Abaqus - MISES stress as output variable

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Hi,

I am doing a simulation in abaqus where pressure is applied over a rectangular solid model. I requested MISES output from one of the element where the pressure load is applied. My doubt is, " Is that possible to find the possible biggest model size above which the MISES stress will be constant ? ".

Boundary conditions are such a way that X and Z coordinates are totally constrained. the load is applied on the y-direction.

dynamic stiffness definition in abaqus

Submitted by TaoLI on

I am working on the vibratory simulation of engin cooling system. Now i want to add the component of rubber isolators , the idea is to add the spring element ,we have tested the dynamic stiffness during ranges of 5-100HZ , but how can i put the values in abaqus ou inp files.

Thanks for your helps

How to postprocess user defined results in patran

Submitted by Stacky on

Hello friends,

Greetings! I used Msc Patran to create a 2D mesh. Using mesh properties I solved a time-dependent partial differential equation using finite element in that domain through c code. Now,I have nodal values at different time. I would like to plot contours using those nodal values. I came to know Patran can do this. If so , can someone give some tips or guide me to an example.

Thank you.
