About constutive relation of elastic membranes

Submitted by souvenir on

Is there some theory to describe the constitutive relation of elastic membranes?There are lots of papers studying membranes mechanics of cells, but I just want to know the mechanics of ordinary membranes which are simplified from theories of plates and shells, can anyone tell me some papers or textbooks studying this?(I've found a brief description on Allan Bower's web page, but that's too brief...)

hi every body

i have a problem with abaqus,

i model composite laminates using XFEM, but all time get the following error message;

37296 elements have fewer than the required number of integration
points. The elements are identified in element set

any one can help me

thank you

best regards
