Problem Modeling JKR contact using Abaqus

Hello Everyone,

I have been working on solving contact problems relating to fibrillar adhesives over the past 3 yrs of my PhD work. In the past, I used Comsol FEM to model contact interactions by implementing the Dugdale-Barenblatt traction separation law at the contact interface.

I just discovered (thanks to Dr K.O. Papailiou) this interesting 2007 paper on helical strand mechanical modelling. It is an up-to-date (and apparently quite exhaustive, except for non-English language contributions) review on the subject by T. Manvel Raj and N.S. Parthasarathy, of India. Its title: “A Complete Review on Friction Models of Composite Cables”. It was published in a Russian Academy of Applied Mechanics and Sciences journal, the International Journal of Mechanics of Composite Materials and Constructions, Vol. 13, No 3, pp. 356-384. To solve several consecutive run automatically by abaqus can get help from the following program:
First file in the file path. Inp place available.
Then run the file name. Inp file and cpu, and the amount of RAM required by the MB session.
Inp file name (without extension and tandem) and enter them below, separated by a space.
Note: Before entering the first name inp file, insert a space.
