ABSTRACT

Postdoctoral Research Position in Geomechanics at the EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland

Submitted by alfer on

The Laboratory for Soil Mechanics (LMS) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) is looking for a Postdoctoral research fellow working on design and predictive modeling of real scale experiments for nuclear waste disposal. The foreseen activities include the implementation of advanced constitutive models developed at the LMS in a FE code and the implementation of 3D FE computations to simulate the repository behaviour.

Faculty Position in Sub-continuum Computational Mechanics - Drexel University, MEM Dept.

Submitted by Antonios Kontsos on

The Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics Department at Drexel University is seeking to fill multiple tenure-track faculty positions starting fall of 2013. Priority will be given to candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

1. Computational Solid Mechanics: Specific areas include, but are not limited to, emerging computational methods with emphasis on sub-continuum scale simulations and high performance computing for multiscale mechanics of novel materials.
