Hi everyone,
I am trying to get the history output of
strain and stress tensor components at a node. However after analysis is
finished no such data are saved in the result section. I think Abaqus
only gives the stress and strain for elements and not at nodes. Any help
would be highly appreciated. Please consider that I am a new abaqus
use.
Thank you in advance

This paper presents an effective numerical approach for welding process
parameter optimization to minimize weld-induced distortion in
structures. A numerical optimization framework based on coupled Genetic
Algorithm (GA) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is developed and
implemented for a low and a high fidelity model. Classical weakly
coupled thermo-mechanical analysis with thermo-elasto-plastic
assumptions is carried out for distortion prediction of numerical
models. The search for optimum process parameters is executed by direct
integration of numerical models and GA-based optimization technique. The
developed framework automatically inserts the process parameters into
the simulation models, executes the FE-based welding simulations and
I would appreciate your comments or pointing to something in the literature on whether mechanical loading changes the magnitude of structural disorder (may be rdf could be a measure) in amorphous materials. Does tension increase 'amorphous-ness' and is the opposite true for compression? Since the network structure is random, should tension and compression yield the same effect (if any)?
I am assuming elastic loading/unloading only.
Many thanks!!

Hi
I have a simple question. How could I model associative Tresca plasticity in ABAQUS?
I use Property module: material editor: Mechanical:Plasticity:Mohr Coulomb Plasticity
I know that In the case (friction angle=0) of the Mohr-Coulomb model reduces to the pressure-independent Tresca model with a perfectly hexagonal deviatoric section.
Hi,
I'm modeling a pull-out test for FRP debonding. I,m using displacement control and used amplitude to define displacement control boundary condition for example
amp*
0,0
0.15,1.0
I used concrete damage plasticity model to define tensile damage of concrete and done abaqus explicit analysis with time period same as for amplitud, i.e.,0.15
I am modeling a plate under three point bending with Abaqus. The plate
is a sandwich structure with aluminum plate (thickness: 5mm), adhesive glue (thickness:
0.02mm) and a kind of foam (thickness: 15mm) bonding together. Their Young’s
modulus is at the order of 100GPa, 1MPa and 100MPa. While in incremental
calculation, the job is always be aborted for not achieving convergence. I just
wonder whether the cause of not achieving convergence should be attributed to
the huge difference in Young’s modulus.

Molecular dynamics (MD) and density functional theory (DFT) studies were performed to investigate the influence of vacancy defects on generalized stacking fault (GSF) energy of fcc metals.
