Our ice mechanics group at Aalto University (Finland) is looking for a PhD-student to work on offshore wind in cold sea areas. We will use discrete element method to study how drifting sea ice affects an offshore wind farm and how the wind farm affects the sea ice surrounding it.

The Computations for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Laboratory (CAMML) in the College of Engineering and Physical Science at the University of Wyoming has an immediate opening for a PhD research assistant available, in the general area of modeling of damage and failure in heterogeneous material subjected to multiphysics environment, with a starting date of Spring 2023.
We are seeking strongly motivated candidates to fill one Research Fellow position in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. The successful candidate will work on experimental studies in the area of cell mechanics. We are particularly interested in candidates with research experience in tissue engineering, drug delivery, mechanobiology and applied mechanics.
Required Qualifications:
3 PhD Research Assistant positions in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno starting Spring 2023 or Fall 2023. The first position is on computational modeling of deformation in nanocrystalline metals, the second on modeling stress corrosion cracking in nuclear materials, the third position is on mdeling deformation in metal/metallic glass composites. Applicants with a background or interest in these research fields are preferred.
