I think I have spoken various times of this problem.

In Italy there was today an announcement that we have the biggest such problem in Europe.  See here .

When I search in wikipedia, I find various terms.

ABAQUS - DEGREE OF FREEDOM 11 AND AT LEAST ONE OF DEGREES OF FREEDOM 1 THRU 6 MUST BE ACTIVE IN THE MODEL FOR *COUPLED TEMP-DISP. CHECK THE PROCEDURE AND ELEMENT TYPES USED IN THIS MODEL.

Hi,

I’m trying to learn ABAQUS to simulate temperature-displacement problems. So, I’ve started on a simple example: two plates in contact, the 2nd presses and moves on the 1st plate (which is fixed).Could anyone tell me why the program gives me this error:

Strain vs displacement

Hi,

in a clamped bar at one end submitted to tension at the other end, the deformation, as well as stress, is constant while the displacement is linear. So, at the clamped end displacement is null wheras deformation is constant! could anyone explain me this paradoxe?

Thanks a lot.

fracture energy for hashin damage evolution using Abaqus

Submitted by ducbro on

hi everyone,

i'm modelling the impact on the composite carbon/epoxy using Abaqus 6.9.

i have the questions:

when i use damage evolution for hashin damage criteria,  i need the values of the fracture energy: longitudinal tensile fracture energy, longitudinal compressive frecture energy, transverse tensile fracture energy, transverse compressive fracture energy. i'm suggested to use the values as 12500, 12500,2500,2500. Are these correct? i dont know how to evaluate these values. Is there any suggestions?

wait for reponse.
