Our recent work on nanoporous gold addresses defrmation mechanisms in nanoporous gold through molecular dynamics simulations, proposing the use of load transfer between nanopores for biosensing applications. Our recent study through molecular dynamics simulations represents a new approach to improve the mechanical behaviour of nanoporous silicon through controlling the pore shape. In this work, a high strength and ductile structure is obtained for honeycomb nanoporous strucutres.
