I have analysed a composite part with ansys with solid46 element . I need to show layered stress in each layer for example stress in fiber or stress in epoxy. how can do that ?
You cannot calculate interlaminar stresses by solid46 element, instead you can take solid45 element into account, simulating a ply of laminated plates with several elements in the thickness direction.
BTW, you cannot simulate the stresses in fiber or epoxy by solid46, since solid46 element is a equivalent model of each ply, you will accomplish it by model the fiber and resin respectively with solid45 elements.
