Axisymmetric mesh in ANSYS Workbench

Submitted by davlars on

Hi everybody,

I am trying to investigate a biaxial membrane inflation experiment of human aortic tissue by the help of ANSYS Workbench. Before examining the actual anisotropic tissue I however am trying to create a model based upon a hyperelastic, but still isotropic, material. I have chosen the pre-listed neoprene rubber in ANSYS Workbench.

However, my results sreem to be a bit differing from the "actual truth" where I expect an axisymmetrically distributed stress when applying the pressure on my circular specimen. I was after this recommended by my supervisor to make an axisymmetric mesh on my circular model, however I am not sure how to create such a mesh in ANSYS Workbench?

Do you know, and can you help me to make an axisymmetric mesh on my circular sample?

 Thanks for your help.
