not sure wether this is the right channel to adress my problem. i'm designing an underwater vehicle which has a weight of about 2.5 tons. my problem is to identify the drag caused by the umbilical which brings the power to the vehicle and signals from vehicle to surface. i understand that at different altitude, the current velocity is different and most probably my umbilical will be slunting
i dont think by using drag=0.5 x rho x v^2 x A x Cd can give me good answer to my problem.
can someone give me some idea on the equation to use.
