We solve the following problem: calculate the full stress field and material properties, when we observe a strain field (e.g. from digital image correlation). The strain field can be heterogeneous and complex, but we assume material isotropy. We use a PDE based approach, developed in https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0749641922002893 and other papers. However, key concepts are explained in the tutorial, and it targets viewers with little background in the area.
