Postdoc position on geometric learning for dynamics responses of micromorphic materials

I have a fully funded postdoc position with some flexibility for the starting date (Fall 2022, Spring 2023, Fall 2023) at Columbia University for a project on deep learning for dynamic responses of solids. More information can be at our research group website www.poromechanics.org. Candidates with a subset or all of the following skills will be considered:

1. programming skills (python and C++)

2. computational mechanics

3. micropolar and micromorphic theories

3. graph theory

4. geometric learning on graphs and manifolds

Due to the funding restriction, only US citizens or candidates from non-sensitive countries according to the DOE O 142.3B will be considered. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.
