Dr. Wentao Yan's group at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), focuses on metal additive manufacturing: computational modeling, experimental investigation and data analytics.
There are multiple openings for postdoctoral fellows available immediately. The candidates are required to have expertise in one of the following areas: 1) dislocation dynamics modeling and crystal plasticity; 2) thermal stress and hot cracking in metal solidification; 3) multiphase flow modeling, especially CFD-DEM coupling. The expertise on additive manufacturing is a plus but not a must.
The first contract can be 1-2 years, and can be renewed based on mutual agreement.
