The Mechanochemistry Discussions

Dear iMechanical Community

On behalf of the newly founded NSF Center for the Mechanical Control of Chemistry (CMCC), we are pleased to announce the CMCC Mechanochemistry Discussions! This online forum will showcase world experts and emerging innovators presenting their research in the broad area of mechanochemistry and its applications. While the Discussions will largely highlight work focused on expanding our understanding of mechanochemical synthesis, the forum will also bring in aspects from other related areas, ranging from the mechanochemical processes that influence rock friction in earthquake faults, to the tribochemical reactions that impact the function of lubricant additives, to mechanically-driven processes in biology.

We are kicking off the series this fall with three outstanding speakers, who will also be available for Q&A afterward.

Join us on the third Thursday of each month at 10 AM Central Time on YouTube to hear the latest!

Our first seminar will be delivered by Dr. Tomislav Friščić of McGill University, on Thursday October 15.

If you can’t join live, all of the presentations will be available for later access.

We hope to see you there!

Can't wait to attend, but I have to do it asynchronous as it conflicts with my class time.
