Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Multiscale Modeling of Advanced Materials and/or Manufacturing Processes 

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Villanova University seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of multiscale modeling of advanced materials. Areas of interest include nanostructured materials, composites, biomaterials, energy materials, phase change processes. The primary responsibilities include teaching and developing undergraduate and graduate courses in modern materials and manufacturing, developing a vibrant funded research program, and collaborating with faculty in our core strength area of nanostructured materials and mechanics.  

Villanova is a Carnegie-classified doctoral university and the Mechanical Engineering faculty are internationally recognized for their research achievements. The department has 22 full-time faculty members, approximately 350 undergraduate students, and 150 graduate students. Minimum Requirements: 

Required are a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, or a closely related field, a proven ability for high level research, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and innovation.  The position starts August 22, 2017.
