I'm working in a 2D-model in Abaqus that simulate the hydraulic fracture (HF) propagation due the pumping of a incompressible fluid. HF path is defined using poroelastic cohesive elements in the direction of the maximum horizontal stress. The HF path is intersected by another crack at 45 degree and propagation could continue in the same path or could be diverted in the direction of the new path depending of the cohesive properties. I have a problem how to define the fluid flow continuity at the intersection due pore cohesive elements only have 2 pressure nodes and for this case I'll need 4.
I'll appreciate any suggestion that help me fix that
