Nanobrücken 2015: A Nanomechanical Testing Workshop & Hysitron User Meeting
Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces and Hysitron, Inc. are pleased to present Nanobrücken 2015: A Nanomechanical Testing Workshop & Hysitron User Meeting, which will take place on April 21-23, 2015 in Potsdam, Germany. Nanobrücken 2015 is the fifth edition of the now-annual Nanobrücken workshop series, having been hosted in both Saarbrücken and Dresden.
The Keynote Speaker for this year's workshop will be Prof. Mathias Göken, Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
Invited speakers include;
Easo George, Ruhr-Universität Bochum (formerly Oak Ridge National Lab)
Eve Donnelly, Cornell University
Johannes Konnerth, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences
Martin Gall, Fraunhofer IKTS-MD
Finn Giuliani, Imperial College London
Helge Fabritius, Max Planck Institute for Iron Research
Please visit the workshop's website to view the Call for Abstracts. As in the past, the workshop is open to all aspects of nanomechanical and nanotribological testing, including biomechanical, in-situ experimentation and simulation/theory. Abstracts for late breaking poster are being accepted until April 10th. Student contributions are strongly encouraged!
In addition to keynote/invited/contributed talks, there will be a student talk competition open to anyone who is a student at the time of the workshop as well as a poster competition open to everyone. Congratulations to 2014's winners Aaron Kobler, KIT (best student talk) and Václav Pejchal, EPFL (best poster)!
