Problem rotating spur gears ANSYS WB

Submitted by verde222 on

Hi everyone, I'm making a research related to spur gear.

Basically the model consist in two gears. My problem is that they did not rotate doesn't matter what I make. So far my model is defined:

Contact-> Frictionless -> Augmented Lagrange

                Two revolute joints defined with the internal face of the gears.

Applied moment on one joint, and revolutions in the other one. (I also tried just putting the moment and leave the other one without any rotation).

I've tried to just put two frictionless support and the moment -In this case I don't use the revolute joints-

But errors like this appears:

Initial constraint equation set is circular.  No solution is possible unless one or more equations are deleted. 1  JOINT ELEMENTS WITH LAG MULT OPTION DO NOT SATISFY JOINT CONSTRAINT CONDITIONS.

"One or more MPC contact regions or remote boundary conditions may have conflicts with other applied boundary conditions or other contact regions. This may reduce solution accuracy. Tip: You may graphically display FE Connections from the Solution Information Object for non-cyclic analysis. Refer to Troubleshooting in the Help System for more details."

"Solver pivot warnings have been encountered during the solution. This is usually a result of an ill conditioned matrix possibly due to unreasonable material properties, an under constrained model, or contact related issues. Check results carefully."

So I ran a modal simulation and I've found out that I have more DOFs than I expected but I though that the revolute joints will eliminate these degrees of freedom.

I am using Structural Steel. I'm really out of ideas, if anyone have one i will aprecciated.
