I am trying to model Delamination in composite material during a drilling process , I just created a simple two ply laminate plate and inserted the cohesive elements with zero thickness between the two layers , the cohesive layer created gives two surfaces , a top and a bottom one, my problem is that when I run my model , my drill only deletes elements from the two composite layers whereas nothing happens to my cohesive layer ,the drill just goes thorugh it and no elements or damage happens to it, I used SDEG to check for cohesive elements failure , I used general contact between my cutting tool and the plate, I am not sure what I have missed in my model but I am not able to fix this problem, any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be really wonderful.
