LUSAS Senior Software Engineer (Ref SSE-W)
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our LUSAS Solver Development Team based in Kingston upon Thames to work on our implicit analysis technology. The position has the benefit of working closely with highly experienced finite element development engineers and is an excellent opportunity for a rewarding career in a technically challenging environment.
You should have a good first degree and an MSc or PhD in Engineering, Mechanics or Mathematics.
Experience in the formulation and development of one or more of the following is required:
- System architecture
- Parallel computing
- Parallel equation solvers
- New elements
- Nonlinear materials
- Nonlinear large rotations and large strains
- Contact
- Thermal and coupled problems
We also require you to have:
- An in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art algorithms to be implemented for advanced nonlinear applications
- A sound knowledge of numerical methods, mathematics and implementation on high- performance computers
- A high level of personal motivation and ability to work well with a dedicated team of software engineers developing the LUSAS system
- Good written and verbal communication skills and a dedication to quality
- A minimum of 5 years' experience
- An excellent remuneration package is available.
