Combining UMAT with XFEM

Hi all,

I 'd like to ask whether anyone has applied XFEM for a user-material (UMAT). What is the process to do that? Could anyone provide some advice, documentation or guidelines?

p.s. I 've heard that a UEL code is needed to couple XFEM with UMAT.

Hi,

     I am now also working on modeling crack propagation considering metal microstrucures. Now I have the same problem as you had one year ago.  You must understand this problem much more now. Could you share some information on this topic and give me some advice ?
