Simulation/Analysis of a Bullet Passing through a Human Cranium

We have been trying to find research material about the behavior and consequences of a bullet going through a human cranium. This is the only material which I have found so far:

Alejandro Mota, the author, tells me that the source code belongs to CalTech and is not available. He and his group at Sandia Laboratories, led by Glen Hanse, are working on an Open Source library which will allow the user to simulate that sort of event:

but, alas, they are not there yet.
