Applicants are sought for a postdoctoral position in Prof. Ted Belytschko’s group at Northwestern University in the area of computational methods for modeling wave propagation in polymer composite materials. Extensive programming experience with C++ or FORTRAN as well as knowledge of finite element programming is essential. This position involves travel to and interaction with collaborators at University of California San Diego and Arizona State University as well as interaction with other computational mechanics groups within Northwestern University. The appointment is for a minimum of one year and the successful candidate can start as soon as possible.
Interested applications should send their curriculum vitae, a list of references and at least two representative publications to Rajiv Malhotra (rajivmalhotra2013 [at] u.northwestern.edu) and Jay Oswald (joswald1 [at] asu.edu).
