Different Cohesive Section

Hello Everyone,

  I am modeling cohesive layer(defined as a part) resting on a rigid body. I am trying to give different cohesive properties to the same cohesive layer. So I created 6 cohesive sections by partition. 3 sections have one cohesive property and the other 3 section have the second cohesive property. I have assigned sections through Abaqus/CAE. During the data check itself the job terminates with an error

*CONFLICT for the second cohesive material property. In the input file the Conflict block is for the second cohesive material property only. The data file error is

Keyword *Conflicts is generated by Abaqus/CAE to highlight

           changes made via the Keywords Editor that conflict with changes made

           subsequently via the native GUI.

I am wondering if it is possible to model different cohesive sections for the same cohesive layer.  I have spent quite some time in modeling cohesive layers so my understanding with cohesive properties is quite good.  Your help is really appreciated.

Hi,

I will try to modify the input file manually using one of the several text editors of the market and assign the properties manually. Try to create different materials for different sections, it an lead to less confussions to the solver.
