I am just going to modify the existing failure criteria of cohesive element in ABA or even write new ones. I am wondering if it will be via UMAT or UEL, or other subroutines. Many thanks!
You can define custom traction-separation laws using some simple methods or more arbitrarily using UMAT. (See 27.5.6 of the User Manual.) You can use UEL if you need even more flexibility, but this is not necessary most of the time.
