Job Summary: The successful candidate will join an internationally collaboration team of scientists in the New Technologies – Research Centre at University of West Bohemia, Czech Republic. He or she will contribute to ongoing research projects and have the opportunity to propose, design, and carry out new research efforts within the broader scope of the group's research topics, which focuses on molecular dynamics simulations of piezo-electric phenomena at nanoscale and metal plasticity at nanoscale.

The Shields Uncertainty Research Group (SURG) in the Dept. of Civil Engineering at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and the Computational and Information Sciences Directorate of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) are seeking applications for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow. The postdoc will work on a collaborative effort to build novel stochastic simulation-based methodologies for advanced computational uncertainty quantification in hierarchical materials modeling.

Modified multiplicative decomposition model for growth: Beyond the initial stress-free state

The multiplicative decomposition model is widely employed for predicting residual stresses and morphologies of biological tissues due to growth. However, it relies on the assumption that the tissue is initially in a stress-free state, which conflicts with the observations that any growth state of a biological tissue is under a significant level of residual stresses that helps to maintain its ideal mechanical conditions.

How to combine VUMAT an VUEOS in Abaqus

Hi,

I have written a VUMAT for Johnson Cook Model. I would like to use subroutine VUEOS to define linear Mie-Gruneisen equation of state. The USUP type VUEOS subroutine can be found at Abaqus Documentation.

However, I am not able to figure out how to combine the two subroutines. What needs to be called from VUEOS into VUMAT?
