I have a 3D model in Abaqus of a wind turbine rotor, modelled with shell elements (S4R and S3). To use the same blade in an aeroelastic wind turbine code (HAWC2 from Risoe), I want to convert selected cross sections of the 3D model to Timoshenko beam elements.
In a previous post some months ago (see here), I mentioned some of the questions I had considering the aeroelastic response of a wind turbine rotor. In this post I just want to give, for those interested, a brief status report.

I am trying to implement an analytic formulae of dynamic flow stress in material plasticity in abaqus. The model is similar to FlowStress=K*(PlasticStrain^n)*(StrainRate^m).
Could you provide help for these 2 questions?
1: Is it OK to define Young's modulus (E) and v in "Elastic" and choose "User" in "Plastic-->Hardening" with the subroutine "VUHARD", instead of by "VUMAT" with plasticity criterion and calculation of delta stress and strain?
I don't know if my understanding of the following is correct, so I would appreciate your comments. I have an expression for Gibbs free energy of a material G=G(σ,T,...). Is it correct to derive the equation for strain as ε=∂G/∂σ ?

can i find natural frequencies of cracked rotating shaft in ansys.i am using contact elements to model crack due to which nonlinearity comes into picture.since modal and harmonic analysis cannot solve nonlinear problems,so please tell me in detail the steps to find natural frequency .
my project submission date is on 15th june and i have no results.pls reply as soon as possible

I have coded for laminate using matlab. for further analysis i want code for composite plate simply supported at all 4 edges.
then analyse with ANSYS. and use optimization techniques for optimizing the plate.
material : Graphite /eposy
thickness of each lamina : 0.127
Seq [45 0 -45]
Please anybody know how to code for composite plate and do stress analysis using Ansys.
