 I am a beginner in using ABAQUS subroutines, and currently come into the problem of running ABAQUS subroutines written in Fortran.

I have installed ABAQUS 6.11-1, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, and Intel Visual Fortran Studio XE 2011 on my computer. However, when I run the test codes, there are the following errors:

Hi all,

 I modelled a pile in sandy soil, the pile is subjected to a lateral load. I embedded the pile inside the soil. The soil if always over stiffened , can any one tell me why , why the soil is very very stiff, I used very small value for elasticity modulus. please help

When I analyze a quiet complex spatial structure, error information warn that: the direction of the beam element is
not correct.

From abaqus document 26.3.4 I know we can
nominate the direction of beam element by adding additional node.It is clear
that this node should be off the axis of the element,any additional constrians?

May I define a random node in the space
which is far far away from my structure, then I add this node as unique
additional node?

Dear colleagues,

is there any technique to reduce a computational time in Abaqus/Standard like it can be done in Abaqus/Explicit using an increase of the loading rates and performing mass scaling???

Good day to everyone....

Im new in the abaqus user... im here got some problem in my beginner stage:

 (i) what the units used in the abaqus? how can i ckeck it? 

(ii) what is means of the approximate size?

(iii) we can put the vertical load and horizontal load, but how i can put the load with the angle such as (10kN in 30^o) 

(iv) how can i do if i want do the looping in my analysis, such as:

hi , i wanna define a four-bar mechanism with matlab and optimal input that none of branch,circuit and order defect happen in my program . can someone help me how can i apply this conditions in my program???
