The ASME Applied Mechanics Division (AMD) Technical Committee for Experimental Mechanics is soliciting oral-only student presentations across four topic areas:
• 11-13: Quantitative Visualization in Fracture & Fatigue
• 11-15: Mechanical Characterization in Extreme Environments
• 11-17: Mechanics of Adhesion and Friction
• 11-18: In-Situ Techniques in Experimental Mechanics
We are glad to announce the International Symposium Recent Advances in Mechanics of Solids and Structures in honour of Prof. Davide Bigoni's 60th birthday.
The event will be held in Trento on June 6-7, 2019.

In this short course, we will introduce the participants to the latest efforts on data-driven methods for mechanical and material sciences. The course will cover topics on
1. mechanistic data-driven clustering methods, direct and reduced order modeling techniques,
2. physics-informed neural networks, multi-fidelity Gaussian processes,
3. deep material networks and multiscale material failure analysis.

The 55th Meeting of the Society for Natural Philosophy: Microstructure, defects, and growth in mechanics will be from September 13-15, 2019 at Loyola University Chicago.

A very limited number of openings to give Roundtable (25 min) talks are available. Special consideration will be given to young researchers. Two nights of lodging will be funded for these speakers. If you are interested in giving a Roundtable talk, you must submit an abstract.
