Open PhD Position – Spring 2026 – Georgia Tech

The Daedalus Lab at the Georgia Institute of Technology (D. Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering) is recruiting a PhD student for Spring 2027.

Our group works at the intersection of fracture mechanics, experimental mechanics, computational modeling, and artificial intelligence. Current research directions include:

  • Green and recycled structures for sustainable infrastructure
  • Instrument development / mechanics experimentation
  • Computational modeling of failure in complex materials

Candidates with backgrounds in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, civil engineering, materials science, or physics are encouraged to apply.
