A postdoctoral position is available starting in May 2011 in Prof. Wenxing Zhouโs research group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Western Ontario. The duration for the position is 2 -3 years. The successful candidate will carry out fracture mechanics testing and numerical simulations, and develop strain-based design methods for pressurized energy pipelines. The project is jointly funded by the Engineering Research Council of Canada and a major pipeline company.
