A postdoc position is available in the computer-aided engineering research lab at the University of Cincinnati. The research will focus on modeling and simulation of fatigue and corrosion-induced failure in metals. The candidate shall have a Ph.D. degree in mechanics, mechanical engineering, material science or related areas with emphasis on material modeling. Past experience with atomistic simulation, finite element methods and computer programming using fortran, C or C++ under Linux or Windows OS is highly desired. The initial appointment is one year and the position can be renewed based on performance. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with experimentalist and access to state-of-the-art facilities.
