A postdoc position is available in the computer-aided engineering research lab at the University of Cincinnati. The research will focus on modeling and simulation of fatigue and corrosion-induced failure in metals.  The candidate shall have a Ph.D. degree in mechanics, mechanical engineering, material science or related areas with emphasis on material modeling. Past experience with atomistic simulation, finite element methods and computer programming using fortran, C or C++ under Linux or Windows OS is highly desired. The initial appointment is one year and the position can be renewed based on performance.
