Hi i wanted to learn meshfree methods. but i am in confusion that how to solve a weight function and what is x, xi, d, ds and where can i find a solved example of EFG. thank you
Look at here for EFG matlab routines. x = evaluation point (typically Gauss point); xi = coordinate of node i; d or ds might be the support radius. Notation may differ from one author to another.

VTK and ParaView might be good choices. Both are open source code that you can find at:

www.paraview.org
For the purpose of coding a 3D meshfree code you may want to try my open source meshfree class.
