MESOMECHANICS 2010 conference will be held in Taipei,Taiwan from June 21 to 25, 2010.

The main objective of Mesomechanics 2010 is to provide a comprehensive global forum for researchers to present their discoveries and findings in mechanics. It aims to encourage the linking of length scales in mechanics research, as the complexity of nature dictates. It provides a forum emphasizing the importance of both theoretical and applied approaches with the aim of improving the knowledge base in mechanics to help solve the world’s ever growing challenges in environment.

The principal topics of interest are:
  1. Atomistic modelling
  2. Nanomechanics
  3. Continuum mechanics
  4. Micromechanics
  5. Thin films
  6. Residual and thermal stresses
  7. Small and large bodies
  8. Local and global material property characteristics
  9. Active and passive control in high temperature structures
  10. Elasticity and plasticity
  11. Constitutive modelling and phenomenology
  12. Viscoelasticity and viscoplasticity
  13. Experimental mechanics
  14. Fracture mechanics
  15. Self-adaptive capability to environment
  16. Effects of environments on structures and materials
  17. Interfacial failure of composite materials and structures

Related topics and those associated with life science are also welcome. The conference website can be found at
