Call For Papers

PROGRAM M106:

CAE Analysis, Test Correlation and Optimization

PROGRAM CHAIRS:

Dr. Guofei Chen, CAE Specialist, United States Steel Corporation, gchen [at] uss.com

Guangtian Gavin Song, Senior CAE Engineer, AM General, Guangtian.Song [at] amgeneral.com

THEME:

The forum of CAE Analysis, Test Correlation and Optimization is an integrated program on the applications of CAE methods for automotive design. The enveloped sessions provide extensive methodology and best practice on the global level of commercial/military vehicles. A variety of topics related to CAE analysis will be covered, including durability, crashworthiness, NVH, vehicle dynamics and optimization on full vehicle, sub-assembly, and component levels.

Advanced CAE methodology in structure analysis, testing correlation and optimization will be discussed. In structure analysis, development and applications in durability/fatigue analysis methods, full vehicle or component crashworthiness and occupant safety simulation methods, material modeling, NVH and multi-body dynamics will be addressed. Stochastic and Calculus method, etc. in optimization and Taguchi method, etc. in Design of Experiment will be included. Development in full vehicle/component and material tests to improve modeling accuracy and simulation correlation will also be discussed. Commercial CAE software, Nastran, LS-Dyna, Radioss, Adams, Abaqus, nCode, Heeds, OptiStruct, HyperStudy, etc. will be listed.

Title of Sessions:

Session 1: Durability CAE
