Submitted by hassanali on Sun, 05/10/2009 - 21:26 I want to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of explicit and implicit time integration schemes? Can any one suggest me any book which is also available to free download. In short, implicit time integrators: large time step, solution of a linear system explicit time integrators: small time step, no solution of a linear system Hope it helped. Time Integration Schemes: book
Hi,
For me, you should consult the book of Prof. Ted Belytschko entitled Nonlinear Finite Elements for Continua and Structures.

explicit time integrators: small time step, no solution of a linear system
Hope it helped.
